Founded in 2020 by Amanda, Morehart Design emerged from a personal necessity: the desire to create a balance between a fulfilling career and being a dedicated mother to her five children. What began as a venture focused on designing floor plans and layouts for homeowners, complete with thoughtful finishes and selections, has evolved into a thriving small design-build firm.
Amanda’s passion for design and commitment to her family drives the company’s mission.

At Morehart Design, family is the cornerstone of our philosophy. Amanda began her journey by harnessing the woodworking and construction skills of her husband, Michael. Together, they have created a dynamic partnership that enables them to offer homeowners and local businesses a comprehensive range of services.

Amanda Morehart
At the age of 30, Amanda made the courageous decision to return to college and complete the degree she had paused to focus on raising her three children, all under the age of five. In 2013, she proudly graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Architecture & Design from The College of Mount Saint Joseph in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Following her graduation, Amanda gained valuable experience working with several prestigious firms in the Cincinnati area. However, her desire to create a more personalized and impactful design experience led her to a pivotal realization: she wanted to approach her work differently.
Fueled by her passion for collaborating directly with clients, Amanda envisioned a design practice that would authentically capture their individual visions.
This dedication to hands-on, client-centered design ultimately culminated in the founding of Morehart Design, where she now transforms spaces in a way that reflects the unique identities and aspirations of those she serves.

LEAD CARPTENTER | PROJECT MANAGER
Michael Morehart
Michael has found passion in contributing his project management talents and distinguished carpentry to Morehart Design. Having worked for 9 years as a project manager at a local graphic firm, he honed his skills for organizing the creative roles and helping with their productivity.
His ability to bring plans to life and translate ideas into tangible results has made him an invaluable asset to the team.
With a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of both design and functionality, Michael excels at ensuring that each project meets the highest standards.
His collaborative spirit fosters strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike, creating a seamless workflow from conception to completion. Whether he’s managing timelines or crafting intricate woodwork, Michael’s dedication shines through in every aspect of his work.
about the MOREHARTS
Michael and Amanda have been married for 22 years and have 5 children.
Olivia, the oldest, is in her third year at UC, studying Real Estate Development. She plans to focus on the commercial side of the industry with her degree.
Charleigh, their second daughter started her freshman year at Thomas More University. She is studying Biology and aims to attend medical school specializing in oncology.
Paden, the only son, is passionate about lacrosse. He is currently in a trade school program where he is training as an electrician after graduating from High School in May.
Edith, the one that turned our family upside down, is involved in dance and is a part of the Cheer Team. Full of life she brings joy to everyone she meets.
Lucy, the baby of the family, partakes in dance but specializes in singing loudly for all the neighbors to hear.
